About Saafire

Why did we call it Saafire?

Saafire means ‘exhale’ in Arabic; exhaling is what drives the breathing process that keeps us alive. It is also the sigh of relief and a release of burden.

What we saw in Saafire?

Saafire, inspired by the precious sapphire gemstone, symbolizes wisdom and good intentions. We chose this unique spelling to reflect our mission: promoting holistic health and fitness, clearing up misconceptions, and empowering individuals to live healthier, more informed lives.

Meet The Team

Afnan Khalidi

A holistic health advocate and an eternal student. I hold a post graduate diploma in homoeopathy and a diploma in Nutritional Therapy, Functional Sport’s Nutrition & Functional Neuro- Rehab. Member of and accredited by The Homoeopathic Medical Association (HMA), The British Association For Nutrition And Lifestyle Medicine (BANT) and The Institute for Functional Medicine ( IFM)

A bookworm and a bad cook. I dive deep in physics and astronomy but the colours & shapes of the clouds still dazzle me the most. I enjoy logical philosophical debates, and the miracle of the human body and the way it functions fascinates me.

Through my journey, I noticed a big gap between the language of science and the language of laymen, not to mention the scarcity of trusted Arabic language resources, so I founded Saafire, hoping to bridge the gap and convey the message of the health algorithm. 

I will be with you in Saafire’s educational and cultural events as well as behind the scene in the “health algorithms” blogs on our social media accounts.

I love working with challenging client cases thus specializing in personal training with a Neurocentric approach (ISSA, NASM, PTA Global, essentials of Elite Performance) was a necessity. I prefer working with pre or post surgery, chronic pain and pre or post natal clientele as I find myself their light at the end of their tunnel.

Fatima

A Yoga and Dance teacher and forever a student. I hold a bachelor's degree in Media and Arts. Ironically, I consider connecting people to each other as my superpower. Member of UNESCO (CID). I like to share my dance researches with fellow dancers for further exploration. Well invested in myself and still have big dreams. I started with a humble beginning and scant encouragement, blossoming through dedication and the wisdom of mentors. Lucky to study with great teachers and seniors, my path adorned with the companionship of amazing teachers, students, and friends who are the cornerstone of my support system. Hey there! I'm an enthusiastic nutritionist, passionate about helping you achieve a healthier lifestyle through proper nutrition.

My educational background includes a Bachelor's degree in Human Nutrition from the University College Dublin in Ireland. It's been an amazing 6-year journey dedicated to transforming lives through the magic of wholesome eating.
